Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Lexi is an AI-powered personal knowledge platform that helps you capture, enrich, organize, and export information. The service includes an iOS app, web application, and browser extension (coming soon).

2. Account Registration

You must create an account to use Lexi. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the service
  • Use the service to spam or harass others
  • Resell or redistribute the service without authorization
  • Exceed rate limits or abuse AI credit allocations

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Subscription Plans

Lexi offers Free, Personal, and Pro subscription tiers. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. Prices may vary by platform (App Store vs. web) due to platform fees.

AI Credits

Each plan includes a monthly allocation of AI credits. Credits are consumed by AI-powered features (enrichment, chat, document processing). Unused monthly credits may roll over for paid plans, subject to a cap. Credits are non-transferable.

Credit Packs

Paid subscribers may purchase additional credit packs as one-time purchases. Purchased credits do not expire and are consumed only after monthly credits are exhausted.

Refunds

Subscriptions purchased via the App Store are subject to Apple's refund policy. Web subscriptions purchased via Stripe may be refunded within 14 days of purchase if you have not used a significant portion of your credits. Contact hello@meetlexi.app for refund requests.

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you save to Lexi. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. AI-generated summaries and tags are derived from your content and are provided as part of the service.

Our Service

The Lexi application, its design, code, and AI models are the property of Lexi and its licensors. Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service.

6. AI Processing

Lexi uses third-party AI services to process your content. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated summaries, tags, and chat responses may contain errors. You should not rely on AI outputs as the sole source of truth for critical decisions.

AI processing requires your explicit consent, which you can manage in Settings. Without consent, the service operates in manual-only mode with limited functionality.

7. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We will provide reasonable notice for planned maintenance when possible.

8. Termination

You may cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lexi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
